現Modern Arima Road
Arima Onsen is a hot spring resort located in Arima-cho, Kita-ku, Kobe City, at the northern foot of Mount Rokko (approximately 400m above sea level), and is one of Japan's three oldest and most famous hot springs.
The route from Kobe city center over Mount Rokko to Arima Onsen has been used by many travelers since ancient times as the "Arima Road."
In modern times, the "Rokko-goe Arima Railway," now the "Kobe Rokko Railway," opened in 1932 (Showa 7) with the aim of providing direct service to Arima Onsen over Mount Rokko by cable car (currently: Hanshin Mikage - Rokko Cable Shita Station - Arima Onsen). Although the dreams of our predecessors were not realized, more than 90 years later, a part of it continues as the "Kobe Rokko Railway Rokko Cable Line."

The Rokko Cable has a total length of approximately 1,700m and connects Kobe city to the top of Mt. Rokko in approximately 10 minutes.
The Rokko Sanjo Bus connects Rokko Cable and Rokko Arima Ropeway in about 13 minutes.
Rokko Arima Ropeway
